    President Asif Ali Zardari has emphasized the importance of unity and resilience in confronting cruelty and evil with steadfastness, drawing lessons from the tragedy of Karbala.

    In his Youm-e-Ashur message, he urged the nation to uphold forbearance, hard work, and justice, and to be mindful of the needs of the poor and needy.

    He highlighted that Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his loyal companions sacrificed their lives to revive Islamic values and protect the rights of the Muslim world, standing firmly against oppression and tyranny. President Zardari pointed out that the martyrs of Karbala taught the Muslims to remain steadfast against brutality and to speak out against evil.

    The president also mentioned the struggles of Kashmiri and Palestinian people, who continue to face hardships and oppression, sacrificing their lives for justice and the principles of freedom.

    Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif

    The PM has called for the promotion of equality, tolerance, unity, and discipline to tackle internal and external threats to the country. In his Ashura message, he encouraged drawing inspiration from the values of fortitude and courage demonstrated by the martyrs of Karbala and to show perseverance in the face of trials.

    The prime minister urged the nation to set aside racial, professional, linguistic, and other differences to strengthen the country. He noted that the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (A.S.) teaches about standing firm against oppression.

    Prime Minister Shehbaz also acknowledged the immense hardships and sacrifices of the Palestinian people for their cause, and the suffering of those in India-held Kashmir under oppressive forces.

    Federal Minister Mohsin Naqvi

    Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi highlighted the significance of Imam Hussain (A.S.) sacrifice for truth. He described the incident of Karbala as the greatest testament to the exaltation of truth, with Imam Hussain's philosophy serving as a beacon for humanity.

    Naqvi emphasized the eternal lesson of standing firm against oppression and noted that Imam Hussain (A.S.) kept Islam alive by resisting falsehood. He urged the nation to learn from Karbala's message, which encourages patience and unwavering commitment to truth. He also warned of modern-day forces of evil and called for adherence to Imam Hussain's teachings to defeat these threats.

    He stressed the need for national unity to combat falsehood and prevent hypocrisy, asserting that the sacrifices of Karbala will continue to inspire courage and resilience among oppressed nations.

    Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan

    Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, also president of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, echoed similar sentiments. He stated that Imam Hussain's martyrdom provides a profound lesson for the Muslim world, inspiring the courage to stand against falsehood and uphold truth.

    Khan praised Imam Hussain's legacy of bravery and highlighted his philosophy as a guiding light for the Ummah. He urged for mutual unity and brotherhood, praying for the strength to follow Imam Hussain's example of great sacrifice for noble causes.

    Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz

    Maryam Nawaz paid tribute to Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions, emphasizing their place in every Muslim's heart. She described the incident of Karbala as a pivotal chapter in Islamic history, demonstrating the eternal struggle between right and wrong. Maryam Nawaz lauded Imam Hussain (RA) for his ultimate sacrifice for righteousness, asserting that those who live and die for truth remain immortal in their followers' hearts.

    She drew parallels between the historical events of Karbala and contemporary struggles, notably in Gaza, and urged the nation to uphold Imam Hussain's teachings.

    Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized the sacrifices made by Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his companions for the upliftment of Islam. He highlighted the lessons from Karbala about standing against oppression and the duty to challenge contemporary injustices. Bugti called for mutual tolerance and unity among Muslims, stressing the importance of promoting Islamic values and protecting humanity.
