The Met Department has forecast very hot weather conditions across the plains of the country, with temperatures expected to soar. Despite the heat, relief in the form of evening rain is anticipated in several regions.

In the Potohar region, upper Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, isolated showers in the evening are expected to bring some respite from the heat. Islamabad and its surrounding areas are predicted to experience partly cloudy conditions, with a likelihood of rain later in the day.

The upper areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are expected to witness rain accompanied by thunder, providing much-needed cooling in the region. The forecast extends to the Rawalpindi Division, Galiyat, Gujrat, Gujranwala, and Faisalabad, where rain is also anticipated in the evening.

The Met Department has indicated a chance of stormy and dusty conditions in upper Sindh and north Balochistan. These winds are likely to add to the discomfort caused by the hot weather, although they may also precede rain showers in some areas.

Meanwhile, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority issued a weather alert to the district and tehsil admins about rain and thunderstorm till June 6.

The PDMA director general said according to the instructions of the Chief Minister, the district administration has been informed about rain thunderstorms in Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Toba Tek Singh, and Jhang too.
